Linkedin Local Lucknow turned one year recently and the city members celebrated this milestone with a gala event at an upmarket hotel thanks to a generous sponsor. The event was attended by many of the members and there were few first comers as well despite no major publicity done by its host. The soldout event was hosted by Surabhi an IT Consultant by profession and supported by Simran Sahni, a well-known entrepreneur of the city and Harshita Uppal who is seasoned Corporate & Behavioural Trainer.
The purpose of the anniversary edition was networking and celebration which was actively done by the participants and ably supported by Ms Roma who brought gaiety and fun to each element of the evening. The event included a session from Mr Abhinesh, founder of a finance company and he talked about Managing Finance 101. The talk was focused towards Entrepreneurs and women and was much appreciated by the guests.
This was followed by ‘Open Mic’ on which some of the members shared their stories of how this community has helped them. The stories of collaboration, personal and professional growth resonated with many members who agreed that this is a group which has helped them directly or indirectly and created meaningful connections – the mantra of Linkedin Local.
To add fun elements, there was Member Mixer, Singing competition, Linkedin Local Trivia quiz, Lucky Draw, Best dressed and much much more. All the winners were given a range of gifts from plants, perfumes, cupcakes, gift vouchers, 4 Days in Thailand amongst many other items given in the goody bag to each participant!
There was also a photo opportunity with plenty of fun props owing to the upcoming festival Holi. Adding cherry to the cake, there was an actual big two tier chocolate cake which was delicious and was cut by those members who attended the first one.
The event was also graced by many eminent guests, Mr Jayant Krishna and his wife Bina, Mr Vinod Punjabi with Rhea, Mr Yogesh Mulwani and Mr Jasjeev who appreciated the gathering and the positive vibe it generated. The event was fully supported by its young volunteers who all found the experience both rewarding and fun and have agreed to be part of the locals in future.
With the great experience of the past year and the learnings it gave, the Linked Local Lucknow aims to grow more and make it the most sought out community of the city where connections are built and relationships are formed. We respect the past and ready to create the future!
